About the Data

At Moore College Data, we believe quantifiable information gives us our best chance to capture the whole truth about a college. We compile information in good faith, and we do so without agenda or prejudice towards or against any institution.

That said, data is only helpful if it is accurate. We occasionally encounter data entry errors and reporting irregularities between colleges. Should any errors be detected, we will make adjustments accordingly if the mistake was made by MCD. We cannot, or course, be responsible for errors made by those completing reports for the colleges.

 Provided here is a list of the colleges for which data was gathered for the current MCD for Families subscription.

These colleges were chosen for inclusion based on a number of factors indicating general interest – size of endowment, number of applications submitted annually, and market strength. Targeting a list of 200-ish members, we let the numbers do the culling.

*Please check the list in advance of purchase and note that a few popular and rigorous institutions are absent (primarily due to reporting aberrations which may have been exacerbated by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic). Of particular note, Arizona State is not included and Penn State's data is incomplete as noted.
